Work on SIRAM case study 1 (Emilia-Romagna, IT) has started for a few months. The research group from Catholic University of the Sacred Heart isolated about one hundred bacteria and fungi from corn rhizosphere to find microorganisms able to promote plant growth and, in general, together with several approaches from regenerative agriculture, to enhance soil quality in the Cerzoo experimental farm, where field studies will take place. After the phenotypic screening of the microorganisms, researchers are at work to find the best formulations to apply the selected microorganisms in the field.
